Meet our Director of Engineering—Sadie Saurdiff!
If the nickname “Danger Zone” is any indication, you could correctly guess that Sadie’s the type of leader to take her projects head-on. In her every day, Sadie oversees her engineering team, their workload, and client relationships. And she’s a fantastic mentor. Why? Because she started her career at Trinity as an intern herself, back in 2012! Soon after, she was promoted to Solutions Engineer, and then Lead UX Engineer, which prepared her for the awesome role of Director of Engineering that she reigns today!
Sadie’s favorite part of the job is helping out with production, so it’s no surprise that she finds successful site builds the most rewarding. Launch is an awesome experience for Sadie to witness her team bring sites to life.
Let us introduce you to Sadie!
My name is Sadie Saurdiff, I’m an engineer, and I am Trinity.
Tell us who you are and what you do.
I’m the Director of Engineering and basically everyday I work with the engineers to make sure we are working on the right things, and also for bad jokes I guess too, I can’t help myself.
What’s one of your favorite parts about your job at Trinity?
Honestly, I just love problem solving—that’s, I think, what drew me to Web development.
Who is your dream client and why?
I love fashion, so anytime that I can look at clothes and work at the same time is super fun. I used to think that my favorite client would be food-based, but then you just get hungry at 10 AM.
Introduce us to your puppies!
This is Windsor, he’s my beagle-corgi. This pretty lady over here is Echo, she’s super sassy.
What’s one thing you do in the morning that starts your day off on the right foot?
Breakfast. Hands down. I get hangry if I don’t eat breakfast.
What are your special talents or hidden skills?
So this question made me think I have no talents…? I can cook, kind of. Okay, I like to do karaoke! I’m not a great singer, I just like to do it. Let’s see… I actually can quilt and sew, I have a sewing machine.
I think I did it all!
When asked about her start at Trinity, Sadie said, “I was so excited to have a job in my field and be able to finally move out of my parent’s house—even if it was just to move into [Jeremy] Weis’s parents basement. I was scared but excited to move to a different part of Minnesota, but I mostly appreciated the fact that working at Trinity let me work on actual websites! This might not sound like a lot, but I was working at the local grocery store before.”
Once she made the move, Sadie was able to find her new home here with us at Trinity.
When she’s not working, Sadie loves to take her two dogs for walks and sit by the pool to work on her tan. For days spent indoors, she enjoys a good board game with friends.
