Trinity created an email flow for Elk Springs clients to extend their stay an extra night. This new automation has brought in $75k+ over the past 60 days from reservations extending their stay.

Problem

Incentivizing an Extended Stay
Elk Springs Resort needed a way to send notifications out to cabin reservation holders when their cabin was available for additional nights before or after their stay. These ‘orphaned’ nights are difficult to book because they are often limited to only one or two available nights. Therefore, they needed a way to automatically reach out before and during their stay to provide specific offers to incentivize current reservations to extend their stay or come early.

Approach

Personalized Offers
Elk Springs Resort set up custom events to send into Klaviyo that allowed us to parse through the data and send a personalized offer depending on the number of days available, when the nights were available. There were three different types of offers available: 

  • Available nights before check-in date - sent 28 days before check in.
  • Available nights after check-out date - sent 21 days before check in
  • Available nights after check-out date - sent 1 day after check in.
